+ CJMEA Region II Chorus

VOCAL ENSEMBLE:

This advanced vocal group is open to all high school students in grades 9-12. Students must presently be a member of the scheduled chorus class or have been a member for at least one year to be eligible. All students must audition in the fall in the areas of vocal production and independence, blend, sight reading and aural perception. The group will strive to maintain a balance of parts of between 12 and 16 members. The vocal repertoire will mainly include jazz, and pop pieces, both accompanied and a cappella. Rehearsal will be held after school on a weekly basis. School rules of extra-curricular eligibility will apply.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SINGERS:

This vocal group is open to all middle school students enrolled in Middle School Chorus. Auditions will be held in January and rehearsals will begin during mid-term exam period. This advanced group will sing in three and four parts using varied choral repertoire. Rehearsals will be held after school weekly. School rules of extra-curricular eligibility will apply.
