NJ Coalition on Donation encourages people to donate life through organ, eye and tissue donation. They will offer three scholarships of $2,000 each to a student who is a donor,
has a donor family member, transplant recipient or is a donor awareness advocate.
Shad Festival Scholarship – for students planning to achieve a degree in the arts. Visual arts will be given first priority but performing artists as well as architectural and interior design students will be considered. A portfolio is required. Deadline is May 10th.
Jon M. Pritsch Golf Scholarships – for students who have played golf on the high school team and plan to pursue a career in a golf-related field such as professional golf management or agronomy. Deadline is May 15th.
Epilepsy Foundation – Three $1,000 scholarships to students with epilepsy planning to attend college. Deadline is May 16th.
**For Juniors - Nordstrom is offering up to five $10,000 scholarships – must have a GPA between 2.7-4.0; made a contribution to community service; be involved in school activities and demonstrate financial need. Applications are due by May 31st. I know there are juniors who qualify so pick up an application and maybe you’ll be $10,000 richer.
**For Juniors – The NJ State Police will host Trooper Youth Week, a residential program held at different times in the summer at their Academy in Sea Girt, NJ. They are looking for juniors, under 18 years of age to participate. Sophomores who are currently 17 years of age may also be eligible. More information may be found at www.njsp/org.
